Hello, friends and supporters,

As we enter the month of June, we are reminded of the vibrant and empowering celebration that is Pride Month. It is a time to honor and recognize the incredible contributions and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. As a judicial candidate committed to upholding the principles of justice and equality, I believe it is crucial to acknowledge and embrace the diversity that strengthens the fabric of our society.

Pride Month is not only a commemoration of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, but also a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance. It is a time to reflect on the progress we have made and the work that still lies ahead.

In our judicial system, it is imperative that all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, feel safe, respected, and heard. I am dedicated to ensuring that our courts provide an inclusive and fair environment for everyone who seeks justice. I firmly believe that a diverse judiciary, representative of the communities it serves, is essential to building trust and confidence in the legal system.

As a judicial candidate, I am committed to upholding the principles of equal protection and due process for all individuals who come before the court. I will approach every case with an open mind, free from bias or discrimination. I believe that the law should be a tool for justice, ensuring that every person is treated fairly, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic that may make them different.

This month, I encourage you to educate yourself on the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Take the time to listen to their stories and understand the obstacles they have overcome. By engaging in conversations and promoting empathy, we foster a society that is more compassionate, understanding, and just.

Let us use Pride Month as a reminder to stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and community members. Let us celebrate their accomplishments, honor their experiences, and amplify their voices. Together, we can build a society that is truly accepting, affirming, and equitable for all.

Thank you for joining me in this journey towards a more just and inclusive society.

With gratitude,

Stephen Brown, Candidate for 9th Circuit Judge, Group 43
